What a workshop is for:

Being conscious for synaesthetic perception depends on how much note you take from perception on the one hand, and on the other hand on how you put it into words. As many synaesthetes do not think much about their kind of perception, they do not know their forms of synaesthesia very well. Even when people have just learned that they are synaesthetes, they do not really know what to do with this experience. These workshops take those people by their hand and point out on the different features of synaesthetic perception, in a way of introduction. Furthermore, this way those people learn to think about their perception effectively. I call this "articulation by using the inner voice".

The different workshops feature different forms of synaesthesia. In case of grapheme-colour-synaesthesia we also concentrate on the properties of letters and numbers. These can have a colour, a gender or in many cases even a character.

When dealing with calendar synaesthesia, we try to make synaesthetes understand their minds´pictures better: synaesthetes often see abstract things, like for example a year, as a visual shape.

The sound workshop is set up in a way that leads you to the different levels of colourful music step by step, because sounds are not only colourful, no, in many cases they even taste.

These workshops are a first intent to develop a method which helps people to get a better awareness considering synaesthesia. Suggestions and critiques are always welcome.
