In this community we want to exchange our experiences in peaceful co-operation. In order to make this work, we listed up the most important points which we all know already and which are necessary for a good atmosphere.
General appointments
It is important for us that in this forum we communicate in an objective and respective way. Passionate discussions are permitted and even desired. But one has always to be aware that virtual communication can sometimes be malicious, which may in some cases rapidly cause misunderstandings.
Even in a forum on synaesthesia, there are people of different age, ideology, and education. Tolerance and respect are necessary to create a good atmosphere in the forum.
The administration holds reserve to delete postings in case of emergency.
Please keep an eye on correct ortography. As there are also children and people of minor age in this forum, please do not use adult speech. And please, no double-postings.
Furthermore, free expression of opinion is important to us. Discussions may sometimes leave the topic of synaesthesia if the rules of constructive communications are obeyed. But in any case, political correctness should be maintained.
Synaesthesia, however, is a serious scientific domain. It matters a great deal to us that this is perceived in public. We set a high value on scientific quality. You may well talk about "pseudo-scientific" topics as, for example, magic, telepathy, chacras, numerology, and so on. But we want to prevent synaesthesia from being given a distorted picture of. Therefore postings which present synaesthesia in a pseudo-scientific relation, will be kept an eye upon.

Forum: Postings and profiles will not be accepted if they
- are personally offensive or insulting to other people or are impolite
- violate a law
- discriminate or blacken persons, nationalities or ethnic groups
- defame non-governmental organizations
- contain personal particulars of third persons
- make statements which are obviously not true
- contain ultra right messages, links or videos
- contain advertisements or spam
- are obviously made in order to defame synaesthesia or synaesthetics.
Note: For users´ own purposes which are directly or indirectly connected to synaesthesia, advertisements are allowed (such as exhibitions, concerts, events, books, music, readings, festivities, and so on). The administrator holds the right to decide whether such a posting will be accepted as an "own purpose advertisement" or not.

- The users are convenant to state their name and e-mail address truly when registrating.The users agree that we verify the e-mail address stated at registration.
- We do not tolerate multiple registrations by the same user using different names or e-mail addresses.
- We hold the right of denying admittance or banning users who obviously give wrong or absurd statements concerning their person, registrate themselves more than once or give an invalid e-mail address. Users who fraudulently pretend to be synaesthetes in order to spread falsities on synaesthesia, will be deleted as well.

- We hold the right to change or delete postings in case of emergency when these cannot be tolerated any longer
- Severability clause: If one or several provisions of this agreement become invalid or unenforceable, this shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision in this agreement. The invalid or unenforceable provision will in this case be replaced by another provision as similar as possible, which comes next to the intention of the purpose intended.
Community, gallery and copyright
Be aware that you will not have any more control on data you uploaded into the world wide web.
On principle, you always have to "think over" before uploading.
The general purpose of the gallery is that synaesthetes make their perception accessable to other people. As owner of the copyright, you can decide yourself whether your work may be used for non-commercial purposes free of charge, or not. We do not take over any liability for this.
In your profile you can make several statements on yourself and your synaesthesia. You can also provide if for example your interviews on synaesthesia may be used for non-commercial purposes or not.
When talking of non-commercial purposes we mainly think of student´´s or pupils´ works or lectures.
Journalists, writers or scientists must in any case have the agreement of the author before excerpts of his profile or his pictures are published.
